Occupational Hygienist - Mining Industry Permanent

• Conduct air quality monitoring, noise monitoring, and other industrial hygiene assessments to identify and evaluate potential hazards in the workplace
• Develop and implement strategies to control and manage exposure to hazards, including recommending engineering controls, administrative controls, and personal protective equipment
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on occupational health and safety regulations and best practices
• Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Communicate with employees, management, and regulatory agencies on occupational health and safety issues
• Participate in incident investigations and help develop corrective actions to prevent future incidents
• Keep abreast of new developments in occupational hygiene and recommend improvements to existing programs

• Grade 12
• Degree in Occupational Hygiene or similar
• SAIOH registered
• Intermediate Certificate in Mine Environmental Control
• 5 years of post-qualification experience in the mining industry

• Salary: R1.2mil-R1.4mil per year
